Dr Hijab held a meeting with H.E. Turkish Foreign Minister, Mr. Davutoglu where they reviewed the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Russian-Iranian military operations in support of the regime
During his news conference in Geneva Dr Hijab pointed out that despite the positive response of the HNC, the regime and its allies stepped up their military operations
Dr Hijab discussed with Dr Davutoglu his concern with the unrelenting siege on various Syrian cities and intensified air strikes and bombardment of cities and refugee camps
Dr. Hijab stressed that the presence of the HNC delegation in Geneva is for the sole purpose of improving the humanitarian situation
Dr. Hijab declared that the true test of intentions must be in the willingness of the international community to enforce UN resolutions and international law
Dr Riad Hijab expresses his gratitude to the United Nations and all friendly states for their efforts to invigorate the peace process and in seeking a political solution to end the suffering of the Syrian people
Following a thorough review of the Committee’s proposed agenda to UN Special Envoy, Staffan de Mistura; the HNC agrees on delegates appointment

Dr Riad Hijab met with French President Francois Hollande and Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius. Their discussions focused on important developments in Syria, as well as, the outcome of meetings between the High Negotiations Committee and UN Special Envoy to Syria, Mr. Staffan de Mistura.
